At this house-sit we have 3 cats, 2 dogs, 2 fish, 6 hens, 1 rooster, 3 billy goats,
8 nanny goats, 4 of whom need daily milking, 1 that is in training for milking and 1 of whom is pregnant.
There are also fences to repair and garden beds to weed.

They were all crowing and bleating so I went out to record them and they stopped and
started again when I walked away, so they must be camera shy!
Anyway, here are some of the animals on this hobby farm.

Mount Tamborine - May 2014

On the 29th Chris chatted to one of the next-door neighbours who said that it has
been "bliss" having us here because the dogs are so quiet.
Apparently they usually bark all day whilst their owner is at work.
They are evidently happy with our almost constant company!

Our last week here and it looks as though Millie and Bailey want to come with us!

Well off we go again! We had the time of our lives here, and as Armidale was the birthplace of our daughter this month, it will always hold a special place in our hearts.

February 18th 2014

Well the housing for the goats is finally finished, which is great because we are finished at this job and leaving tomorrow. We'll be back house-sitting in Uki for other people in 3 months so we will drop in and say hi here. Lovely people, lovely home, lovely animals. We've had a great time! When we come back this way, we will have a new addition to our traveling family, as we are expecting the arrival of a baby girl before then.

Last Day Here

Tomorrow morning we depart bright and early to head on south to the Uki house-sitting job. We have had a lovely time here in Toowoomba, and enjoyed looking after the property and pets. We were happy to have given the family who lives here piece of mind whilst they were away on vacation, as they didn't have to worry about their home with us here, which allowed them to relax more than they otherwise would have. Cheerio, we're off!

Well I house sat for Shelly and looked after Marley (featured here) and the feedback that I received from the next door neighbour was that Marley was quieter with me there than with her owner! The first night was a barky night, to be expected as it is very confusing when your owners' car is in the driveway but someone else is sleeping over with you, but the subsequent 3 nights were peaceful and relaxed.
